Tom Fisher is a Reader in Design at Sheffield Hallam University.  His background is in Fine Art and Furniture Design and he wrote his PhD in a Sociology department on plastic materials in consumption experiences.  He currently provides postgraduate research methods training at SHU and his research, research supervision and consultancy engages with issues of sustainability and materials
